The Charlotte Hornets and our partners are hosting a Job Fair Thursday, August 25, 2016 & Saturday, August 27, 2016, where we are looking to fill over 300 part-time positions.  We have several types of positions including Guest Services, Security, Concessions, Greeters, Warehouse, Fan Shop Sellers, and Concourse Attendants among others. 

We are looking for dependable, customer service oriented team members who demonstrate pride and passion every day. Team member responsibilities will vary based on role and event.

Hornets Sports & Entertainment, Levy Restaurants, Show Pros, CRVA, and Jani King will be accepting applications and conducting interviews on site during the event. Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and interest to work in events and/or sport management
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • These are part-time non-benefit earning positions; hours include days, nights, weekends and possibly holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend and other duties associated with different sport and entertainment events is desired
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs or push up to 70lbs unassisted.
  • Demonstrate customer service skills strongly desired

Job Summaries:

· Box Office Sellers: Greet all guests with a smile. Use computer software to sell tickets and print tickets.  Distribute tickets to customers from Will Call. Answer questions and provide available event information, direction, and assistance to guests. Experience with computer software and handling cash is preferred.

· Greeters: Greet all guests with a smile. Take initiative to resolve guests’ concerns in a timely and professional manner.  Maintain a full knowledge of all arena facilities.  Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment. Treat all guests in a kind and courteous manner.

· Guest Services: Greet all guests with a smile.  Work closely with the Guest Services Supervisor to fulfill guests’ requests.  Take initiative to resolve guests’ concerns in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a full knowledge of all arena facilities.  Ensure that all incident reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.  Ability to adapt to an ever changing environment. Treat all guests in a kind and courteous manner.

· Ticket Takers: Greet all guests with a smile.  Check and scan each ticket prior to guest entrance into event. Maintain a full knowledge of all arena facilities.  Direct guests toward seats, concessions, or retail areas.  Treat all guests in a kind and courteous manner.

· Ushers: Greet all guests with a smile. Survey assigned area and report any problems to supervisor (dirty or damaged seats, wet floor, etc.). Check each ticket completely and guide guest to the correct seat.  Be familiar with the numbering of assigned seating area and the general seating system of the arena.  Keep guests moving; keep cross walks and aisles clear of standing spectators.  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Treat all guests in a kind and courteous manner.

· Fan Shop (Retail Sellers): Greet all guests with a smile.  Provide customer service to increase sales volume through delivery.  Provide general customer service, assisting the customer in buying decision.  Monitor inventory and maintain store appearance.  Retail sales experience preferred.

· Security:  Monitor assigned area. Perform routine search procedures at entrances and exits and ensure that no prohibited items enter or leave the Arena. Ability to proactively identify and address offensive behavior. Enforce and uphold all security and safety policies. Ability to maintain calm and handle emergency situations.

· Supervisors: Engage and lead team before, during and after event. Take initiative to resolve team member and guests’ concerns in a timely and professional manner.  Maintain a full knowledge of all arena facilities.  Ensure that all incident reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

 

Levy Restaurants:

  • Concessions: Cashiers, Bar Backs, Bartenders
  • Cash Room: Attendants
  • Culinary: Cooks, Dishwashers
  • Restaurants: Waiters/Waitresses, Hostesses, Runners
  • Suites: Suite Attendants, Servers
  • Warehouse: Warehouse Attendants
  • Supervisors: Warehouse, Dining, Restaurants, Culinary, Concession
